Petra and Carl Ehrhard cultivate their Riesling and Pinot Noir on 9 hectares. Their sites are situated exclusively in Rüdesheim and they are can look back on 7 generations of winemaking. “Back to the future” is their motto when “letting the wines develop”. It is not the frenetic pace of the younger generation, but the serenity of quality and rest which is their ideal both in the vineyard and cellar.

A slow and traditional fermentation in wooden vats gives the Riesling time to develop its character and aroma. This “old-school modernity” is acknowledged by the wine guide Eichelmann, awarding the wine estate the title “Achiever of 2017” and Gault Millau writes “14 wines, one better than the other”.
