100% Riesling

Wine estate Weil was founded in1875 and is managed today by Robert Weil in the 4th generation. It is a member of the VDP (Association of German Predicate Wine Estates).  100% Riesling is cultivated on 90 hectares including excellent mountainous sites around the town of Kiedrich, such as “Kiedrich Gräfenberg” where the wine estate owns the monopole site.

Further sites include “Kiedrich Turmberg” and “Kiedrich Klosterberg”. Focusing on Riesling only, stringent quality control, reduced yield as well as gentle processing method in the cellar guarantees wines of individual and great character in harmony with tradition and current technological know-how.

Thanks to this quality management, the wine estate has been able to produce for every single vintage since 1989 without interruption all predicates up to Trockenbeerenauslese. This is unique worldwide. Many observers of the international wine word regard the wine estate Robert Weil with its “Château character” as a worldwide symbol of the German Riesling culture.
