BOUQUET AND TASTE

The family-run wine estate Robert König originates from a long tradition of the König family. Already in 1704, the Königs made wine in the Rheingau. Traditional winemaking methods in the vineyard as well as in the cellar is still the core of our philosophy. Yield reduction, multiple selections during harvest and greatest care in winemaking guarantee wines with great expression, minerality and character.

We focus with great passion on one of the most fascinating grape varieties – Pinot Noir. In order to pay tribute to the many facets of that grape variety, we produce the wines from fine/elegant to full-bodied/ dense. We always highlight the typical Pinot Noir fruit. 95% of the wines are dry. After traditional mash fermentation and malolactic fermentation, wines are matured in small oak.

Riesling, Pinot Blanc and Blanc de Noir are fermented in steel. One of our specialities is bottle fermented Pinot Noir  and Blanc de Noir sparklings.
