DYNAMICS WITH A LOT OF RESPONSE

Since 2010, Christian Ress is in charge of the family wine estate, running it now in the 5th generation and expanding it continuously to its 45 hectares presently.

He caused quite a stir across Germany with some exciting new projects, like the planting of a vineyard on the island of Sylt in 2009, opening the wineBANK in Hattenheim in 2009, sinking the RESSpekt in 2010 and most importantly his quality offensive.

The next and logical step is the certification for organic wine making which had begun in 2016. Vineyards stretch for 25 km across the Rheingau; in addition, 3 hectares are cultivated in Rheinhesssen. 89%  Riesling, 10% Pinot Noir, 1% Pinot Blanc – all true wines from the region from various sites and soil types.
