WINEMAKING WITH HEART AND MIND

Our wine estate is situated right in the middle of the old part of Rüdesheim. Our 2,2 hectares of vineyards are south facing – we cultivate them alone and close to nature. Our traditional family estate which dates back to 1522 has specialized in fruity and elegant Rieslings from famous sites such as Magdalenenkreuz and Kirchenpfad, complemented by a red and aromatic Klosterlay.

Our range is further completed by the almost legendary Pinot Noir Assmannshäuser Höllenberg. Traditional open mash fermentation and modern cellar technology result in wines that lure locals as well as tourists into our cosy restaurant and wine bar where local delicacies are offered. 

The atmosphere is easy in our courtyard as well as in our restaurant, guests love to linger. In 2004 we were awarded in Kloster Eberbach with the STAATSEHRENPREIS 2004.
