When visiting wine estate Mirjam Schneider in the town of Mainz Hechtsheim, one thing is very obvious: the unconditional passion for wine and nature. Small wonder, as Mirjam Schneider carries wine making practically in her genes.  She runs the family estate in the 6th generation and never thought of doing anything else. Since 2002, the certified technician viti- and viniculture produces lively, subtle and modern wines.

Mirjam Schneider has classic varieties such as Riesling, Silvaner and Pinots under cultivation. They grow under ideal soil condition which features limestone and loamy clay along the Rhine, including the towns of Laubenheim, Bodenheim and southern slopes of Gau-Bischofsheim, also site for stunning Pinot Noirs. She is open for varieties such as Sauvignon Blanc and Merlot, provided the site is right.

Since 2014, the wines are presented in new surroundings: the estate boasts new, light-flooded tasting rooms and a farm stall. This innovative concept as well as practiced sustainability in vineyard and cellar has convinced the judges of Great Wine Capitals: the wine estate was awarded  “Best of Sustainability for Wine Tourism” in 2015.
