FROM THE LOWER RHINE TO THE MIDDLE RHINE

The wine estate LITHOS is a newly- established estate, founded in July 2015. Kristina and Christos Theodoropoulos, both born and raised in Krefeld, have realized for themselves a long-standing vision – to own a wine estate. Christos is an oenological technician, having worked for 10 years in various wine estates as cellar master and manager.

The idea to buy a wine estate came from good friends, and it turned out a good idea! Lithos is a very young wine estate with unusual concepts which concentrates on the production of unique and individual Rieslings from the Middle Rhine. Furthermore, Christos is a red wine fan and produces his reds accordingly.

His rich experience is mirrored in his red wines. All vineyards are steep sloped, harvested is by hand only. Gentle vinification of this 2,5 hectare large estate has one goal – highest quality.
