LOST TO RIESLING

Riesling is the absolute darling here; one is hooked to its fruit and elegance. That is why 80% of the estate´s vineyards are planted with Riesling, such as Rüdesheim Berg Schlossberg, Berg Rottland and Berg Roseneck. This part of Rüdesheim is favoured by nature – it is sunny and warm.

Protected south-facing hills, surrounded by Taunus and Hunsrück mountains, steep hills with intensive sun exposure and slate-quartzite soil retaining warmth up until well into October – these are all excellent factors for exciting wines. For 2011 the estate was awarded with the State Honour Prize of Hessia.
