BURGUNDY IN THE RHEINGAU

The wine estate is one of the most significant wine estates founding of the past 20 years in the Rheingau. And as the name indicates, it is French through and through. It counts not only in the region but also nationwide as one of the top red wine address. The new estate manageress, Verena Schöttle, like her predecessor, focusses all her attention on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

Winemaking is classic and little technology is used. The noble wines are matured for up to 22 months in barrique and stand out with their irresistible elegance. Like their Pinot model, there is no Riesling to be found on the estate; however there is Chardonnay which is an equal partner to the Pinot due to the clear and mineral style.

Today, the estate has 8 hectares under cultivation, 80% of which are steep slopes. An independent enterprise, manufacturing timeless Pinots in Burgundy style.
